Paper Title
Production And Characterization Of Aluminium-11% Silicon-3% Copper Alloy

Abstract
Abstract- Aluminium-11% Silicon-3% Copper alloy was produced by casting route. The variation of mechanical properties of the alloy on as-received, homogenized, solution treatment, and after artificial ageing at 200°C has been studied. Microstructural characterization studies and hardness values were investigated. The fractured samples were observed by Scanning Electron Microscope. The present investigation revealed that the maximum tensile strength and hardness values were in peak aged condition. Corrosive behaviour of as-received samples was studied in sea water environment and in severe corrosive environment. It was found that appreciable resistance have been shown by as-received samples as revealed in the icrostructures.
