A Study Of Modeling On The Mechanical Properties Of Friction Stir Welded Al 6351 Plates Added With Sic Particles In The Butt-Joint Region

Abstract
This study focuses on the modeling of the friction stir welded Al 6351 plates added with SiC particles in the butt-joint region. Two sets of experiments were conducted using Taguchi’s experimental design and a mathematical model was developed to predict the mechanical properties of the welded Al 6351 plates. The predicted results were compared with the actual experimental results. It is found that the developed model could be used to predict the mechanical properties of the welded Al 6351 plates with minimum error percentage
