Paper Title
Emission Optimization Of Single Cylinder Diesel Engine By Using Etas-Inca Software

Abstract
Engine emission is found to be emerging problem in current era. One of the main problems associated with diesel engine is formation of high level of NOx emission.BS-III emission norms have been followed from 2010. It is necessity to develop engine emission which will compliance with BS-IV emission norms as BS-IV norms for light commercial vehicle will be effectively applicable from 2015. Conventional fuel injection system was unable to fulfillment of this requirement, so it is necessity to modify fuel injection system along with vehicle after exhaust after treatment devices. Exhaust gas recirculation system is very effective tool for NOx optimization. In this research, four stroke single cylinder electronically controlled diesel engine for four wheeler application was used for emission development. Emission was optimized by using ETAS-INCA software. EGR mapping strategy and closed loop position EGR system was used for NOx reduction and CO and HC emissions were controlled by selection of suitable catalytic converter and combustion optimization. The experimentation is carried out on Tata Iris vehicle and tests were conducted on chassis dynamometer. Results were analyzed with previous results and it is found that NOx is reduced by 46.6% and all engine emission parameter passed in BS-IV emission norms.
